Triple A-West

SALT LAKE CITY-Scott Schebler homered and Michael Stefanic and Matt Thaiss each had RBI singles as the Salt Lake Bees doubled up Sacramento 4-2 Saturday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple A-Westplay.

The surging Bees improved to 29-27 and are the winners of five straight games.

Dillon Peters earned the win on the mound for the Bees as he improved to 2-2 on the season.

Arismendy Alcantara homered and Bryce Johnson had an RBI triple in defeat for the River Cats. Sacramento fell to 23-33 with the loss.

The Bees and River Cats continue their series Sunday at 1:05 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.

MLB Partner League

OGDEN, Utah-Clay Fisher drove in two runs and the Missoula Paddleheads bested Ogden 6-2 Saturday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play.

Garrett Westberg earned the win on the mound for the Paddleheads, who improved to 31-12 on the season.

Jakob Goldfarb and David Mayberry had RBI in defeat for the Raptors, who fell to 27-16 with the loss.

Ogden and Missoula meet again Sunday at 4:00 pm at Lindquist Field.
