Talem Franco Concludes USATF Trails By Placing 21st In the 1500-Meter Semis

EUGENE, Ore.-Friday, former BYU and Wasatch High School star runner Talem Franco placed 21st in the 1500-meter semifinals at the USATF Olympic trials at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Franco finished his stint at the trials by posting a time of 3:46.37.

The top time headed into Sunday’s 1500-meter final belongs to Craig Engels (3:38.56).

Engels edged Notre Dame star runner, Yared Nuguse. The native of Louisville, Ky. posted a time of 3:38.60. Colby Alexander, the No. 3 seed, ran the race in 3:38.71.
