EUGENE, Ore.-Thursday evening, former Wasatch High School and BYU star runner Talem Franco advanced into the semifinals of the men’s 1500-meter run at the USATF Olympic Trials at Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.

Franco posted a time of 3:40.58 and placed 15th overall in the event.

Sam Prakel, a current adidas runner and graduate of the University of Oregon, is the current leader as he posted a time of 3:39.02.

Franco will compete in the men’s 1500-meter semifinals Friday at 6:05 pm MDT.
