Triple A-West

SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Jaylin Davis belted a grand slam in the bottom of the 5th Inning as the Sacramento River Cats dismantled Salt Lake 8-3 Friday in Triple A-West baseball action at Sutter Health Park.

Joey Bart homered and added an RBI single for the River Cats, who improved to 15-22 with the victory.

Camilo Doval earned the win on the mound for Sacramento, getting the victory in his first appearance of the season for the River Cats.

Matt Thaiss homered and Anthony Bemboom added an RBI single in defeat for the 16-21 Bees.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Josh Broughton scored on a wild pitch in the home run derby after regulation on a wild pitch as the Ogden Raptors outlasted the Missoula Paddleheads 9-8 at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play Friday.

Nick Michaels homered in the win for the Raptors, as they improved to 19-5 on the season. Dylan Pearce earned the win on the mound for Ogden.

Jared Akins and Nick Gatewood had 2 RBI in defeat for the Paddlheads, as they fell to 19-5.
