Triple A-West

TACOMA, Wash.-Matt Thais homered twice and added an RBI triple as the Salt Lake Bees dismantled Tacoma 9-2 Monday in Triple A-West play at Cheney Stadium.

Brennon Lund also homered and added an RBI triple for the Bees, who improved to 12-16 on the season.

Jaime Barria earned the win on the mound for the Bees, who improved to 1-1 on the season.

Jantzen Witte homered in the loss for the Rainiers, who fell to 14-14 with the loss.

The Bees and Rainiers conclude the series Tuesday at Cheney Stadium for an 8:05 pm MDT opening pitch.

Pioneer League

OGDEN, Utah-Tim Susnara, David Maberry, Pavin Parks and Sean Skelly each homered as the Ogden Raptors overpowered Grand Junction 17-13 Monday at Lindquist Field in Pioneer League play.

Mitchell Miller earned the win on the mound for the Raptors, who improved to 14-1 on the season as they swept the six-game series against the Rockies.

Jose Gutierrez and Zane Gelphman each went yard in defeat for Grand Junction as the Rockies fell to 5-10 on the season.

The Raptors travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. Tuesday for a series against the Rocky Mountain Vibes.
