HEBER CITY, Utah-Monday, three were killed in a firey crash near Heber City.
Sgt. Nick Street of the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed a Jeep and a red truck traveled eastbound near U.S. 189 close to the Heber Valley Airport.
Witnesses reported the Jeep slowed down significantly.
Street said the Jeep clipped a white Ford Escape before being t-boned by a Chevy Trailblazer.
The fire from the Jeep spread to the Trailblazer, Street said, while the driver of the Jeep and the Trailblazer’s two occupants were all slain in this collision.
Street reported the fire involving these vehicles spread to a nearby field, charring a stretch of land close to the highway.
U.S. 189 reopened shortly after 10:00 pm.
