SALT LAKE CITY-Charles LeBlanc posted 3 RBI and the Round Rock Express ended the Salt Lake Bees’ 4-game winning streak with a 4-2 win Thursday at Smith’s Ballpark in Triple-A West play. The Express victory also spoiled the Bees’ first full-capacity home game threshold of the season.
Yohel Pozo added his 3rd home run of the season for Round Rock, who improved to 11-8 with the victory.
Drew Anderson earned the win on the mound for the Express, improving to 2-1 on the season.
Luis Rengifo had an RBI double and Matt Thaiss added an RBI single for the Bees, who fell to 9-10 with the loss.
The squads meet Friday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark for the second game in the series.
Pioneer League
GREAT FALLS, Mont.-Tim Susnara netted 4 RBI and the Ogden Raptors improved to 3-1 on the season by overpowering Great Falls 17-8 Thursday at Centene Stadium in Pioneer League play.
Jacob Goldfarb and Raul Shah added 3 RBI apiece for the Raptors, who symmetrically posted 17 hits en route to the victory.
Gavin Weyman earned the win on the mound for Ogden.
Cris Ruiz and Chris Caffrey each drove in two runs apiece for the Voyagers, who fell to 0-3 on the season.
The squads meet again Friday at 7:00 pm at Centene Stadium.
