Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Has Memorial Day Advice For Visitors

UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-Tuesday, the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest provided timely advice for adventurers who plan to enjoy the outdoors Memorial Day weekend.

The forest warns visitors of rivers, streams and creeks running at high levels because of spring runoff.

A watchful eye should be kept on children and pets while recreating in these areas, the forest cautions.

The forest also requires all visitors to pack out all trash to ensure campsites remain clean.

The forest also gave instruction for hikers, those herding livestock on forest land and on campfires.

Because previous reports have stated this year looks to be a bad fire season, forest visitors are asked to be especially careful with fire.

Visitors are asked to douse their campfires before leaving campsites.
