SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed the Boston Massachusetts Temple has advanced to Phase 2 of reopening as of April 26.

Under the Salt Lake City-based faith’s reopening protocols, Phase 2 consists of temples being open for all living ordinances only with restrictions.

The Boston Temple was dedicated October 1, 2000 by former Church President Gordon B. Hinckley.

The Boston Temple serves 13 stakes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island and Vermont.
