HEBER CITY, Utah-Tuesday, the Utah High School Activities Association announced its initial RPI for softball. In 5-A, the Wasatch Wasps check in at No. 11 overall.

The 5-3 Wasps (4-2 in Region 8 play) are coming off of a 9-0 win at Maple Mountain Tuesday. The Wasps host Class 4-A Tooele Thursday for a 3:30 pm opening pitch.
Region 8 is represented by the No. 1 overall squad in 5-A in the RPI, Spanish Fork (12-0, 6-0 in Region 8 play), No. 3 Springville (8-3, 4-1 in Region 8 play), No. 7 Salem Hills (7-2, 4-1 in Region 8 play), No. 18 Payson (3-6, 1-3 in Region 8 play), No. 19 Park City (1-11, 0-5 in Region 8 play), No. 24 Maple Mountain (3-6, 2-3 in Region 8 play) and No. 27 Provo (0-10, 0-6 in Region 8 play).
