SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, the covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.

Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox also opined on the numbers he is observing.

6,549 Wasatch County residents have been vaccinated for covid-19. Of these, 4,408 (66.8 percent) have received one dose. 2,191 Wasatch County residents (33.2 percent) have received the recommended two doses.

As for the Utah stats, 94.1 [94.12] percent of covid-19 cases statewide (346,157-367,789) are recovered. This set a state record for recovery percentage for the 24th consecutive day.

Only 5.4 [5.38] percent of covid-19 cases statewide (19,767-367,789) are active.

In Wasatch County, 94.9 [94.92] percent of covid-19 cases (4,075-4,293) are recovered.

4.6 [4.61] percent of covid-19 cases in Wasatch County (198-4,293) are active cases.

Statewide, there are 239 current hospitalizations for covid-19. When divided by active cases, the percentage is 1.2 percent.

Wasatch County has less than 5 current hospitalizations for covid-19.

1,865 deaths (0.51 percent of all-time cases) have been attributed to covid-19 statewide. These deaths consist of deaths both from and with covid-19.

20 deaths (0.47 percent of all-time cases in Wasatch County) have been attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County.
