HEBER CITY, Utah-The Salem Hills Skyhawks prevailed over Wasatch 53-48, spoiling Senior Night for head coach James Ballsteadt’s Wasps Friday in Region 8 boys basketball action at The Nest.

Wasatch ends the regular season with a record of 9-14 and 6-8 in Region play.

Seniors honored for the Wasps this evening included centers Cole Magnusson, Dakoda Thacker and Luke Lacey as well as guards Hawk Ballstaedt, Garrett Windsor and Colin Hughes.

The 5-A RPI will be released Saturday at 9:00 am just as Ty&Ty’s Crossing the T’s show concludes Saturday morning at 8:00 am on 94.5 The Peak and hebervalleyradio.com.

Girls Basketball

Region 8

SALEM, Utah-Macklyn Mortensen’s 9 points led the way and the Salem Hills Skyhawks bested Wasatch 36-29 Friday in Region 8 girls basketball action. Chiara Serre had 10 points in the loss for the Wasps, who end the season at 9-11 and 7-7 in region play.
