HEBER CITY, Utah-Thursday, the Payson Lions won the 5-A state wrestling title at The Nest, posting 268 points, to earn the crown.

Box Elder placed second with 189.5 points while Wasatch finished third with 182.5 points.

This was the Lions’ 7th all-time state wrestling title (1998, 2009, 2010, 2014, 2015, 2019) but first as a class 5-A school.
