SALT LAKE CITY-Saturday, the covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.

512, 189 Utahns have been vaccinated per Saturday’s report. This is an increase of 22,473 from Friday.

358,882 Utahns (70.1 percent) have received one dose.

153,307 Utahns (29.9 percent) have obtained the recommended two doses.

5,802 Wasatch County residents have been vaccinated. This is an increase of 52 from Friday.

4,210 Wasatch County residents (72.6 percent) have received one dose.

1,592 Wasatch County residents (27.4 percent) have received both doses.

For the 18th straight day, Utah set a new state record for recovery percentage at 92.3 [92.26] percent (332,702-360,584).

7.2 [7.24] percent of covid-19 cases statewide (26,092-360,584) are active cases.

In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (1,753) exceeded new active cases (-815) and new net recorded cases (943).

There are 306,610 more recoveries than active cases statewide.

Of the 14,151 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah, 298 are currently hospitalized or 2.1 [2.11] percent.

Of the 298, 116 are in  ICU or 38.9 [38.93] percent of ICU occupancy statewide.

80.6 percent of ICU beds are occupied statewide and 84.2 percent of ICU referral center beds.

1,790 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide or 0.5 [0.496] percent.

Wasatch County School District did not update its covid stats Saturday. Presently, there are 21 active cases out of 680 all-time cases or 3.1 percent.

Wasatch County has 4,210 all-time cases, 95 all-time hospitalizations and 19 all-time deaths attributed to the virus.
