SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints confirmed it is extending the temporary closure of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The South Jordan, Utah-based temple was temporarily closed March 9 for maintenance and was slated to reopen this week.

Other temples to recently be closed include the Boston Massachusetts Temple, the Dallas Texas Temple and the Indianapolis Indiana Temple.
