HEBER CITY, Utah-The Maple Mountain Golden Eagles pummeled Wasatch 75-55 Friday in Region 8 boys basketball action. Colin Hughes had 12 points in the loss for the Wasps, while Mack Hinckley and Lance Gehring added 11 points apiece in defeat for Wasatch. James Ballstaedt’s squad fell to 5-7 and 3-2 in Region 8 play. The Wasps are next in action Tuesday at 7:00 pm against Springville at the Nest. HEBER CITY, Utah-Skylar Dennison’s 10 points led the way as the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles edged Wasatch 37-36 in Region 8 girls basketball action Friday at the Nest. Aspyn Neumann’s 10 points led head coach Norm Hayter’s Wasps in the loss. The Wasps fell to 6-8 and 2-3 in Region 8 play with the loss. The Wasps are next in action Tuesday at 5:15 pm against Springville at the Nest as the Region 8 season continues.
