HEBER CITY, Utah-Mack Hinckley hit the g0-ahead shot in the closing moments, finishing with 12 points, and Will Harris’ 31 points led the Wasatch Wasps in a 73-68 win over Payson Friday in Region 8 boys basketball action at the Nest. The win improves James Ballsteadt’s squad to 4-6 on the season and 2-1 in Region 8 play. The Wasps are next in action Tuesday at Park City for a 7:00 pm tip-off.

HEBER CITY, Utah-Rachael Heath netted 13 points and 4 steals as the Wasatch Wasps crushed Payson 56-25 in Region 8 girls basketball action Friday at the Nest. Aspyn Neumann added 10 points in the win for the Wasps who improved to 5-7 and 1-2 in Region 8 play. Halle Meek’s 9 points led the Lions in defeat. Head coach Norm Hayter’s squad is next in action Tuesday at Park City for a 5:15 pm tip-off.
