The U.S. Census Bureau just released population estimates for counties across the United States. Utah ranked as the third fastest-growing state in the nation, behind Idaho and Nevada … and many of Utah’s counties also grew at a rapid rate. Wasatch County was the only Utah county ranked in the top 10 nationally for percentage growth in 2018. Two of Utah’s metro areas ranked among the fastest growing in the country. The St. George metro ranked third, with the Provo-Orem metro just making the list at number 10. Growth in Wasatch County provides both opportunity and challenges. Business continues to grow, as does the need for funding of infrastructure, education and housing.
