HEBER CITY, Utah-Wasatch County School District, per an Instagram post Saturday, revealed a list of important events prior to the advent of a new school year.
The new teacher orientation will be Monday and Tuesday August 12 and 13.
Wasatch Back Conference/District Institute Days will be Thursday and Friday August 15 and 16.
Professional development days are Monday and Tuesday August 19 and 20.
The first day for students (1st grade and up) classes is Wednesday August 21.
Kindergarten and preschool classes will commence Thursday August 29.
All students will not have classes on Monday September 2 in honor of Labor Day.
Fall break is October 17 and 18 with the end of the first term occurring October 24.
Professional development day in the second term is October 25 and Thanksgiving vacation runs from November 27-29.
Christmas vacation lasts from December 23-January 1 with the end of the 2nd term falling on January 9.
This is followed by the third term’s professional development day January 10 and the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday January 20.
President’s Day is February 17, meaning another holiday from classes for all students.
The end of the 3rd term is March 19, subsequently followed by the fourth term’s professional development day March 20.
The PCCR/SSP days run from April 6-8, so there will be no school and spring break is April 9 and 10.
High school graduation is May 20 and the Wasatch County School District north campus graduation is May 21.
Memorial Day is May 25, so there will be no school that day and May 28 is the official end of the fourth term for all non-seniors.
