SOUTH JORDAN, Utah-Oslevis Basabe and Grant McCray homered and the Sacramento River Cats smoked Salt Lake 7-4 Saturday at The Ballpark at America First Square. John Michael Bertrand posted two strikeouts in five innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the River Cats.

Denzer Guzman, Niko Kavadas, Nick Madrigal and Trey Mancini drove in a run apiece in the loss for the Bees.

Following Saturday’s results, Sacramento, which achieved at least a series split, improved to 17-13 on the season while the Bees fell to 13-19.

The River Cats go for the series win Sunday while Salt Lake seeks to secure a series split.

Opening pitch is slated for 2:05 pm at The Ballpark at America First Square.
