5A State Championship Series

Game 3

OREM, Utah-Luke Livingston, Billy Bird, Tyler Hunter, Tate MacGillivray, Landon Young and Brighton Tate each drove in a run and the No. 2 Timpanogos Timberwolves won the 5A state title with an 8-1 win over Lehi in Game 3 of the state championship series Saturday night at DoTerra Field at UCCU Ballpark. Chase Riggs posted three strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Timpanogos. Jackson Brousseau drove in a run in the loss for the Pioneers. This was Timpanogos’ 7th all-time state title in baseball. The Timberwolves have won state championships in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2016, 2017 and 2023.

Game 2

OREM, Utah-Ashton Holbrook homered and the No. 4 Lehi Pioneers forced a Game 3 in the 5A baseball state championship series with an 8-7 win over No. 2 Timpanogos at DoTerra Field at UCCU Ballpark.

Tanner Morgan drove in two runs in defeat for the Timberwolves. Timpanogos and Lehi will have an opening pitch in the de facto state championship game sometime after 7:00 pm this evening.
