University of Utah Men’s Basketball Signs Jake Wahlin Monday

SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, University of Utah men’s basketball head coach Craig Smith announced the signing of guard/forward Jake Wahlin into the Runnin Utes’ program.

Wahlin comes to the Utah program after serving a mission in Lithuania for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The native of Keller, Texas starred at Timpview High School of Provo. In his senior season (2020-21), Wahlin posted 13.7 points and 7 rebounds per game for the Thunderbirds.

During his time at Timpview, Wahlin helped lead the Thunderbirds to a 75-29 record.

Wahlin is the fifth Runnin’ Ute to sign with the program for the coming season, joining guards Deivon Smith and Cole Bajema, center Lawson Lovering and guard Hunter Erickson.
