WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Tyler Fitzgerald homered and the Sacramento River Cats doubled up Salt Lake 8-4 Friday at Sutter Health Park.

Nick Avila posted three strikeouts in two innings of work to earn the win on the mound for the River Cats. Avila improved to 5-0 on the season in victory.

Preston Palmeiro homered and added an RBI single in the loss for the Bees.

Sacramento improved to 18-19 on the season while the Bees fell to 16-21 as they have lost four of their last five games.

The Bees and River Cats return to action Saturday at 7:37 pm MDT at Sutter Health Park.
