WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Ford Proctor and Will Wilson homered and the Sacramento River Cats drilled Salt Lake 9-1 Tuesday at Sutter Health Park in the series opener. Joey Marciano posted 5 strikeouts in 2 innings of work to earn the win on the mound for Sacramento. Marciano improved to 3-1 on the season in the win.

Jo Adell homered in the loss for the Bees, going yard for the 13th time this season.

With the win, Sacramento improved to 16-18 while the Bees fell to 15-19.

The Bees and River Cats return to action Wednesday at 1:05 pm MDT at Sutter Health Park.
