CEDAR CITY, Utah-Tuesday, SUU men’s basketball signed 6’9″ Russian forward Nestor Dyachok out of Casper CC (Wyo.).
Dyachok posted 10.3 points and 5.3 points last season for the Casper CC Thunderbirds.
Dyachok confirmed he didn’t have to change from being a Thunderbird.

The native of Moscow will be a junior next season for the SUU Thunderbirds.
In other Casper/SUU news Tuesday, Dyachok’s junior college head coach, Shaun Gutting, has joined Thunderbirds head coach Rob Jeter’s staff.
Gutting had been the head coach of the Casper CC Thunderbirds for the past four seasons, posting a record of 56-27.
Gutting has also served as an assistant coach at New Mexico JC of Hobbs, N.M. in his coaching career.
