LAS VEGAS-Nick Allen’s sacrifice RBI bunt in the bottom of the 9th Inning secured the victory and the split in the series as the Las Vegas Aviators got past Salt Lake 8-7 Sunday at Las Vegas Ballpark.

Jordan Diaz added an RBI single for the Aviators in the bottom of the 9th Inning, setting the stage for Allen’s heroics.

Billy Sullivan posted two strikeouts in one inning of work for the Aviators to earn the win on the mound. Sullivan is 2-0 on the season for Las Vegas.

Mickey Moniak homered and added an RBI single in defeat for the Bees.

The Aviators improved to 5-10 on the season with the win. Salt Lake fell to 8-7 in the loss.

The Bees return home to Smith’s Ballpark Tuesday for a 6-game series against the Reno Aces.
