SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, University of Utah men’s basketball head coach Craig Smith announced the addition of Colorado transfer Lawson Lovering.
Lovering, a 7-1 center out of Algeria and Central High School of Cheyenne, Wyo., is entering his junior season.
Lovering averaged 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Buffaloes last season.
Lovering is also durable as he played in all 34 games for Colorado in the 2022-23 season.
Lovering joins Hunter Erickson, a former Salt Lake Community College guard, as the second newcomer to the Runnin’ Utes program ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Erickson has also spent time at BYU during his college career.
