Utah State Men’s Basketball Loses Two In Transfer Portal

LOGAN, Utah-Monday, Utah State men’s basketball lost two key standouts from last season’s squad to the transfer portal.

Departing from the Aggies’ program are senior forward Sean Bairstow and junior guard Max Shulga.

Bairstow averaged 10.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game for Utah State this past season. Shulga, meanwhile, averaged 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists for the Aggies in 2022-23.

Their announcements come five days after former Utah State head coach Ryan Odom took the same position at Virginia Commonwealth University.

In remarks made on social media Monday, both Bairstow and Shulga expressed appreciation to the Utah State fans for their support and the time they each spent in Logan.
