Mark Madsen Becomes New Head Coach At California-Berkeley

OREM, Utah-Wednesday, Utah Valley men’s basketball head coach Mark Madsen confirmed he will now serve in the same position at California-Berkeley.

Associate head coach Todd Phillips will serve as the Wolverines’ interim head coach. A national search will be conducted for the program’s next head coach.

In four seasons as UVU’s head coach, Madsen went 70-51 (.579).

During his tenure, the Wolverines defeated Oregon, BYU, New Mexico and Colorado on the road.

Madsen was also named as the WAC’s head coach of the year this past season after leading UVU to a 28-9 record.
