BOUNTIFUL, Utah-Jordyn Harvey posted 17 points and the No. 2 Bountiful RedHawks pounded No. 15 Wasatch 67-46 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs Thursday. Ashley Garner’s 15 points led the Wasps in defeat. Bountiful next faces No. 7 Highland Wednesday at 5:50 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State University.

MURRAY, Utah-Emily Gillian’s 18 points led the way and the No. 21 Spanish Fork Dons upset No. 5 Cottonwood 56-53 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs Thursday. Ali Tripp had 26 points in the loss for the Colts. Spanish Fork next faces No. 4 Lehi Wednesday at 9:10 pm at Weber State in the state quarterfinals.

SALT LAKE CITY-Sosefina Langi posted 18 points and the No. 7 Highland Rams downed No. 10 Northridge 58-51 Thursday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs. Madison Hosino had 22 points in the loss for the Knights.

PROVO, Utah-Natalia Ballin led the way with 16 points and the No. 3 Timpview Thunderbirds got past No. 14 Brighton 58-51 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs Thursday. Olivia Stephens and Sophie Nielsen had 16 points apiece in defeat for the Bengals. Timpview next faces No. 22 Skyline Wednesday at 4:10 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State.

SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Ellie Esplin netted 22 points and the No. 1 Springville Red Devils routed No. 17 Mountain View 55-29 Thursday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs. Lilikoi Suguturaga and Kate Shirts had 7 points apiece in the loss for the Bruins. Springville next faces No. 8 Timpanogos Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the state quarterfinals at Weber State.

LEHI, Utah-Sammi Love posted 20 points and the No. 4 Lehi Pioneers downed No. 13 Jordan 46-41 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs Thursday. Fui Niumeitolu had 11 points apiece in the loss for the Beetdiggers.

OREM, Utah-Summer Christensen’s 20 points and 6 assists led the way and the No. 8 Timpanogos Timberwolves clipped No. 9 Woods Cross 55-45 Thursday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs. Georgia Hatton had 13 points in the loss for the Wildcats.

PAYSON, Utah-Tina Njike posted 25 points and the No. 22 Skyline Eagles routed No. 6 Payson 62-44 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls basketball playoffs Thursday. Natalie Cox had 14 points for the Lions in defeat.
