FARMINGTON, Utah-Tuesday, Weber State junior point guard Dillon Jones was named the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball player of the week for the fourth time this season.
In road wins over Sacramento State and Portland State this past week, Jones averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game for the Wildcats.
Jones, a native of Columbia, S.C., averages 15.96 points and 10.2 rebounds per game on the season for the Wildcats.
Weber State’s proverbial “double-double man” has posted 17 double-doubles in 27 games he has played this season.
Jones and his Weber State (15-13; 10-5 in Big Sky Conference play) teammates host Eastern Washington Thursday at the Dee Events Center. The Wildcats seek to hand the Eagles their first conference loss of the season as they are 15-0 in Big Sky play.
