The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints To Only Conduct Sacrament Meeting Easter Sunday

SALT LAKE CITY-Per a Wednesday letter, The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed only Sacrament meeting will be conducted throughout the world on Sunday April 9: Easter Sunday.

As this is the second Sunday in April, this means there will be no Elders Quorum or Relief Society meetings throughout the world that day.

The First Presidency, Church President Russell M. Nelson, First Counselor Dallin H. Oaks and Second Counselor Henry B. Eyring, confirmed Easter Sunday will be a time to commemorate Jesus Christ’s Atonement and Resurrection during Sacrament meeting.

The First Presidency also stated no stake conferences throughout the Church are to be conducted this day.

The First Presidency stated the Easter season is a time faith in Jesus Christ can be strengthened while His Gospel can also be shared with others at this special time.
