SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed the location of three temples to be constructed in North and South America.
These temples are to be constructed in Santiago, Chile, Cleveland, Ohio and Austin, Texas.
The Santiago West Chile Temple is to be a single story temple consisting of approximately 12,500 square feet.
This is to be the Salt Lake City-based faith’s second temple in the city. The Santiago Chile Temple was dedicated in September 1983.
The Cleveland Ohio Temple is to be a single-story structure consisting of 9,900 square feet.
This temple was announced in April 2022 by Church President Russell M. Nelson.
The Austin Texas Temple was announced in October 2021 by President Nelson and will be built on a 10.6-acre site adjacent to an existing meetinghouse.
This is to be a single story structure consisting of 30,000 square feet.
Additionally, the Church has released renderings for its temples to be constructed at Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Singapore, Knoxville, Tennessee and Modesto, California.
