SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, Utah star sophomore cornerback Clark Phillips III was named to another All-American team, garnering honors from the American Football Coaches Association.
Phillips has now earned eight All-American distinctions. Phillips has received All-American honors from The Associated Press, Sporting News, Walter Camp, FWAA, CBS Sports/247 Sports and The Athletic as a first-team performer.
Pro Football Focus also named Phillips to its honorable mention All-American squad.
This season, Phillips has posted six interceptions, two pick sixes, and six pass breakups.
Phillips declared for the NFL Draft earlier this week and will therefore not play for the Utes in the Rose Bowl January 2 at Pasadena, Calif. against Penn State.
