Utah Football Places 12 on All-Pac 12 Roster; Barton Named Freshman of Year

SAN FRANCISCO-Tuesday, Utah football, after securing its second consecutive Pac-12 championship, placed 12 players on the all-conference roster.

The Utes to be so honored are as follows:

All-Pac 12 1st Team

senior tight end Dalton Kincaid (70 rec, 890 yards, 8 TD’s)

junior offensive lineman Braden Daniels

sophomore offensive lineman Sataoa Laumea

sophomore cornerback Clark Phillips (6 interceptions, sack, 6 passes defensed)

All-Pac 12 2nd Team

sophomore defensive tackle Junior Tafuna (interception, 2.5 tackles for a loss)

sophomore linebacker Karene Reid (4 sacks, 7.5 tackles for a loss, interception, forced fumble)

All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention

sophomore receiver Devaughn Vele (50 rec, 595 yards, TD)

sophomore defensive end Jonah Elliss (3 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 6 tackles for a loss)

sophomore senior R.J. Hubert (3 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 3 tackles for a loss)

sophomore safety Cole Bishop (interception, 1.5 sacks)

junior quarterback Cam Rising (2,939 passing yards, 66.2 percent completion percentage, 25 touchdowns/7 interceptions; 418 rushing yards, 6 TD’s)

sophomore offensive lineman Keaton Bills

Additionally, Utah freshman Lander Barton was named the conference’s freshman defensive player of the year.

The former Brighton High School star posted 3.5 sacks and 5 tackles for a loss for the Utes.
