Tuesday, numerous Utah based college football players appeared on the College Football News Freshmen All-American Team. They are as follows:

Linebacker Lander Barton (3.5 sacks, 5 tackles for a loss)

Defensive tackle Simote Pepa

Utah State

sophomore safety Ike Larsen (2 sacks, 4 interceptions)

Barton and Pepa and their Utes teammates play Penn State in the Rose Bowl January 2 at Pasadena, Calif.

Larsen and his Aggies teammates will face Memphis December 27 at the First Responder Bowl at University Park, Texas in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
