DENVER-Monday, Utah Tech sophomore tailback Quali Conley and senior defensive back Darrius Nash earned WAC offensive and defensive player of the week honors respectively Monday.
Conley and Nash’s contributions helped the Trailblazers down Tarleton State 34-28 Saturday at Greater Zion Stadium.
In the win over the Texans, Conley ran for a career-high 215 yards and a score on 25 carries.
Conley also became the Trailblazers’ first tailback to record 1,000 yards in a season in the program’s NCAA era as he has run for 1,034 yards on the season.
In Saturday’s victory, Nash recorded an interception, a pass breakup and five total tackles.
The Trailblazers conclude the season Saturday by visiting BYU at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
