5A 2nd Round Playoffs

STANSBURY PARK, Utah-Katelynn Kitchen scored twice and the No. 2 Stansbury Stallions doubled up No. 15 Viewmont 4-2 Tuesday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs. Siena Allen and Brooklyn Jones each scored in the loss for the Vikings.

The Stallions next face No. 10 Skyline in Thursday’s state quarterfinals at Stansbury High School.

SPANISH FORK, Utah-The No. 10 Skyline Eagles upset No. 7 Maple Mountain 5-4 on penalty kicks in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs Tuesday.

WASHINGTON TERRACE, Utah-The No. 16 Lehi Pioneers stunned No. 1 Bonneville 3-1 on penalty kicks Tuesday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs. The Cinderella Pioneers next visit No. 8 Bountiful Thursday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

BOUNTIFUL, Utah-Ellyse Kessler scored twice and the No. 8 Bountiful Redhawks doubled up No. 9 Northridge 2-1 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs Tuesday.

HOLLADAY, Utah-Ella Schujter, Anna Neff and Hope Munson each scored and the No. 4 Olympus Titans edged No. 20 Brighton 3-2 Tuesday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs. Olympus next hosts No. 5 Cedar Valley Thursday at 4:00 pm in the 5A state quarterfinals.

EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-Kelsey Woodbury and Bailey McArthur both scored and the No. 5 Cedar Valley Aviators outlasted No. 21 Mountain View 5-3 on penalty kicks in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs Tuesday.

SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 3 East Leopards doubled up No. 19 Timpview 2-1 Tuesday in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs. Bella Johnson found the net in defeat for the Thunderbirds. The Leopards next host No. 6 Timpanogos Thursday at 4:00 pm in the state quarterfinals.

OREM, Utah-Summer Christensen scored twice and the No. 6 Timpanogos Timberwolves waxed No. 11 Alta 3-2 in the 2nd round of the 5A girls soccer playoffs Tuesday. Elysse Jessen and Macy Ellis scored in defeat for the Hawks.
