CEDAR CITY, Utah-Tuesday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball standouts, fifth-year senior power forward Tevian Jones and senior shooting guard Maizen Fausett received preseason recognition from The College Basketball Almanac.

Jones, a fifth-year senior, averaged 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Thunderbirds last season.

Fausett averaged 11.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game last season for SUU.

Jones has been named as a first-team All-WAC preseason selection and Fausett is a second-team All-WAC preseason selection.

Fausett ranks in the top 10 in T-Birds basketball history in all-time scoring (1,112 points) and is the all-time leading rebounder (713) in program annals.

SUU commences its season November 7 at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M. against the New Mexico Lobos.
