Kate Giles Wins Girls’ Region 9 Cross Country Championship Monday

SPRINGVILLE, Utah-Monday, the Region 9 cross country championship meet occurred at Springville High School with Maple Mountain’s boys and Springville’s girls winning region titles.

Wasatch star junior Kate Giles won the girls Region 9 championship in a time of 18:04.40.

Wasatch’s girls finished as follows.

Kate Giles 1st (18:04.40)

Lillie Randall 11th (20:10.60)

Mariah George 13th (20:20.90)

Lucy Allen 16th (20:44.20)

Adora Powers 24th (21:23.60)

Abigail Krull 25th (21:23.70)

Tesha Krull 26th (21:27.30)

The girls team standings are as follows:

For the boys, Maple Mountain took the Region 9 team title with Golden Eagles star junior Caleb Woolford (15:56.70) winning the individual region championship.
