EL PASO, Texas-Jorge Alfaro and Brett Sullivan drove in two runs apiece and the El Paso Chihuahuas doubled up Salt Lake 6-3 Thursday at Southwest University Park in Pacific Coast League play.
Pedro Avila earned the win on the mound for El Paso by posting eight strikeouts in five innings of work.
Avila is 5-2 on the season for the Chihuahuas.
Orlando Martinez drove in a run for the Bees in defeat.
El Paso improved to 67-58 on the season while the Bees fell to 59-67.
Salt Lake and El Paso return to action Friday at 6:35 pm at Southwest University Park.
