RENO, Nev.-Seth Beer drove in a pair of runs and the Reno Aces edged Salt Lake 6-5 Friday at Greater Nevada Field in Pacific Coast League play.
Edwin Uceta earned the win on the mound by posting a strikeout in one inning of work for Reno. Uceta improved to 5-0 on the season for the Aces.
Jose Rojas homered in defeat for the Bees, who squandered a 5-1 lead and had their five-game winning streak snapped.
The Aces improved to 53-44 on the season and Salt Lake fell to 47-50.
The Bees can still win their third consecutive series if they defeat Reno Saturday or Sunday.
The series resumes Saturday at 7:35 pm at Greater Nevada Field.
