THE WOODLANDS, Texas-Tuesday, Utah Tech and Southern Utah will participate at WAC Football Media Day at The Woodlands, Texas.
The Thunderbirds will be represented by head coach DeLane Fitzgerald, quarterback Justin Miller and defensive lineman Zach Strand.
The Trailblazers’ representatives are head coach Paul Peterson, offensive lineman Nathan Aceves and defensive lineman Syrus Webster.
Miller is a redshirt sophomore who completed 61.4 percent of his passes in 2021 for 2,416 yards, 9 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Miller previously starred at Summit Academy.
Strand is a graduate senior defensive end who transferred to SUU from NCAA Division II Frostburg State (Md.) where Fitzgerald was previously the head coach.
Strand had four tackles for a loss last season for the Bobcats.
For Utah Tech, Aceves is a senior who has played an instrumental role in the Trail Blazers amassing strong offensive performances during his career at St. George.
Webster, a former West Jordan High School star, posted two sacks, a forced fumble and five tackles for a loss for the Trailblazers last season.
Later Monday, the WAC preseason coaches poll was released.
