SALT LAKE CITY-Luis Gonzalez, on assignment from the San Francisco Giants, homered and the Sacramento River Cats downed the Salt Lake Bees 5-3 Friday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.

Isan Diaz also went yard for Sacramento in the win.

Bryan Brickhouse netted one strikeout in two innings of work to improve to 1-0 on the season for the River Cats.

Kean Wong, Magneuris Sierra and Jose Rojas each posted an RBI in defeat for the Bees. Sacramento improved to 36-46 on the season while the Bees fell to 37-45.

Salt Lake and Sacramento meet again Saturday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
