Raptors Sweep Owlz in Friday Doubleheader

GREELEY, Colo.-Friday, the Ogden Raptors swept the Northern Colorado Owlz 12-2 and 11-0 at Jackson Field in a Pioneer League doubleheader.

The doubleheader was rescheduled from Thursday as lightning and perpetual rain caused the postponement.

In the first game Brian Dansereau drove in three runs for the Raptors in victory.

Alex Jackson and Brandon Crosby each drove in a run for the Owlz in defeat.

In the second game, Dustyn Macalsuso homered to lead Ogden to the win.

Ronny Orta earned the win on the mound for the Raptors in the second game by posting six strikeouts in the full seven innings of work.

The Raptors improved to 23-17 on the season in victory while Northern Colorado fell to 15-22.

The Raptors and Owlz will play another doubleheader Saturday at Jackson Field with the first game scheduled for 1:05 pm.
