SALT LAKE CITY-Jo Adell homered and the Salt Lake Bees bested the Sacramento River Cats 7-4 Monday at Smith’s Ballpark in Pacific Coast League play.
Jonathan Aro posted a strikeout in one inning of work to secure the win for the Bees in the Independence Day game. Aro improved to 3-5 on the season.
Jhonny Perada, Jason Vosler, Arquimedes Gamboa and Bryce Johnson each drove in a run for the River Cats in defeat.
Salt Lake improved to 37-42 on the season while Sacramento fell to 33-46.
The Bees and River Cats take Tuesday off but will resume the series Wednesday at 6:35 pm at Smith’s Ballpark.
