TACOMA, Wash.-Forrest Wall drove in a pair of runs and the Tacoma Rainiers edged Salt Lake 3-2 Sunday in Pacific Coast League play at Cheney Stadium.

Kyle Bird earned the win on the mound for the Rainiers by posting two strikeouts in one inning of work.

Bird improved to 3-1 on the season for Tacoma.

Jake Palomaki had an RBI double in the loss for the Bees.

Tacoma improved to 32-45 on the season while the Bees fell to 36-42 in defeat.

Salt Lake returns to action Monday at 6:35 pm as the Bees host Sacramento at Smith’s Ballpark. There will be fireworks after the game in honor of Independence Day.
