WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.-Dillon Thomas homered and added an RBI single and the Salt Lake Bees downed the Sacramento River Cats 7-3 Thursday at Sutter Health Park in Pacific Coast League play.
Cesar Valdez earned the win on the mound for the Bees as he improved to 5-1 on the season.
Valdez recorded five strikeouts in six innings of work to secure the win for Salt Lake.
Bryce Johnson had a 2-run homer in the loss for the River Cats. Salt Lake improves to 25-20 with the win and Sacramento falls to 21-24 in the loss.
The Bees and River Cats resume the series Friday at 7:45 pm at Sutter Health Park.
