5A Regionals
HEBER CITY, Utah-Cole Zimmerman and Alex Gutierrez each posted an RBI and the Wasatch Wasps blanked Tooele 2-0 in the 5A regionals Monday at Wasatch High School.
This win advances the Wasps into the 5A Super Regionals Thursday at an unspecified opponent.
Jackson Kelson earned the win on the mound for Wasatch Monday. The Wasps outscored the Buffaloes 12-0 in this series.
OREM, Utah-The No. 9 Orem Tigers downed No. 24 Box Elder 5-2 Monday to prevail 2-0 over the Bees and advance to the Super Regionals Thursday.
BOUNTIFUL, Utah-The No. 10 Bountiful Redhawks 10-runned No. 23 Stansbury 14-4 to earn the win in six innings. Bountiful advances to Thursday’s Super Regionals by besting the Stallions in the regionals 2-1.
BOUNTIFUL, Utah-The No. 23 Stansbury Stallions upset No. 10 Bountiful 5-2 Monday to force a game three in the regionals later Monday afternoon.
MURRAY, Utah-The No. 22 Maple Mountain Golden Eagles doubled up No. 11 Murray 4-2 to win the Regionals series 2-1. Maple Mountain advances to Thursday’s Super Regionals.
MURRAY, Utah-The No. 11 Murray Spartans torched No. 22 Maple Mountain 13-3 to tie the regionals series 1-1 Monday. This sets up a winner-takes-all game three later Monday afternoon.
SALEM, Utah-The No. 12 Salem Hills Skyhawks downed No. 21 Northridge 7-2 Monday to advance to the Super Regionals Thursday. The Skyhawks completed the 2-0 sweep of the Knights with the victory.
BOUNTIFUL, Utah-The No. 19 Springville Red Devils pounded No. 14 Viewmont 17-4 to complete the 2-0 sweep in the regionals Monday. The Red Devils advance to the 5A Super Regionals Thursday.
COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah-The No. 15 Brighton Bengals doubled up No. 18 Payson 6-3 Monday to complete the 2-0 sweep of the Lions. The Bengals next advance to Thursday’s 5A Super Regionals.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 17 Uintah Utes dismantled No. 16 Skyline 9-4 in Game 3 of the regionals Monday. The Utes have advanced to Thursday’s 5A Super Regionals.
SALT LAKE CITY-The No. 16 Skyline Eagles bested No. 17 Uintah 10-7 Monday in the regionals. This forces a winner-takes-all Game 3 later Monday afternoon.

OREM, Utah-The No. 9 Timpanogos Timberwolves downed No. 25 Woods Cross 8-6 Monday to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Timberwolves swept the Wildcats 2-0.
STANSBURY PARK, Utah-The No. 10 Stansbury Stallions pummeled No. 23 Timpview 12-4 Monday. The Stallions, who swept the Thunderbirds 2-0, now advance to the Super Regionals on Friday.
BRIGHAM CITY, Utah-The No. 11 Box Elder Bees dismantled No. 22 Alta 9-3 Monday to advance past the Hawks in the regionals. The Bees swept Alta in the series 2-0. Box Elder next advances to Friday’s Super Regionals.
EAGLE MOUNTAIN, Utah-The No. 12 Cedar Valley Aviators humbled No. 21 Skyline 14-3 Monday to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Aviators swept the Eagles 2-0.
OREM, Utah-The No. 20 Tooele Buffaloes upset No. 13 Orem 12-0 Monday to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Buffaloes swept the Tigers 2-0 in this regionals series.
SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The No. 14 East Leopards edged No. 19 Northridge 5-4 to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Leopards swept the Knights 2-0 in the regionals.
BOUNTIFUL, Utah-The No. 15 Viewmont Vikings stonewalled No. 18 Maple Mountain 12-5 Monday to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Vikings swept the regionals against the Golden Eagles 2-0.
MURRAY, Utah-The No. 17 Payson Lions decimated No. 16 Murray 22-6 Monday to advance to Friday’s Super Regionals. The Lions swept the Spartans 2-0 and outscored Murray 40-8 in the series.
