Zach Nyborg Returns To USU Football

LOGAN, Utah-Friday, Utah State football announced the return of Zach Nyborg to the program as the director of player personnel for the Aggies.

He had spent the previous three seasons at Oregon State as the Beavers’ associate athletic director for football.

During his time at Corvallis, Ore., Nyborg oversaw the operations of the football program. This entailed roster management, team scheduling and travel.

He also oversaw all aspects of the Beavers’ budget for football and served as the primary liaison for all auxiliaries within the department.

Prior to that, Nyborg was at BYU for one year as the assistant athletic director/director of football operations for then-head coach Bronco Mendenhall and was at Wisconsin prior to this job, doing similar things for the Badgers’ program.

Nyborg began his career at Utah State for then-head coach Gary Andersen in 2010, serving as the team’s defensive and recruiting administrative assistant in 2011. In 2012, he was promoted as the Aggies’ offensive graduate assistant for quarterbacks, recruiting coordinator and assistant to the head coach.

A native of Centerville, Utah, Nyborg has degrees, a bachelor’s from BYU in business management and a master’s from Utah State in health, physical education and recreation.
